San Anto Cultural Arts has contributed approximately 60 images of murals created as part of the organization’s Community Mural/Public Art Program to the Artstor Digital Library.

San Anto Cultural Arts (SACA) is a nonprofit founded by Manuel Castillo, Cruz Ortiz, and Juan Miguel Ramos in 1993 that fosters community-based arts in San Antonio, Texas with origins in the city’s Westside, near the Alazan-Apache Housing Projects. SACA operates two programs: The Community Mural & Public Art Program (CMP), and El Placazo Community Newspaper & Mentor Program. The CMP has united professional artists and thousands of local youth to create murals that define the character of the Westside. The program has produced public art projects with neighborhood groups, community members and business, and other nonprofit organizations.
