The Huntington Archive of Buddhist and Asian Art (The John C. and Susan L. Huntington Photographic Archive of Buddhist and Asian Art) at the University of Chicago has contributed nearly 11,000 images of Asian art and architecture to the Artstor Digital Library.

The full archive contains about 260,000 color slides and black and white photographs of pan-Asian art and architecture taken by art historians John and Susan Huntington over  four decades, as well as collections added from the History of Art department at The Ohio State University (its original repository). The archive includes works and monuments from India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Myanmar,  dating from 3000 B.C. through the present. Many of the photographs document monuments, buildings, and art that have since been destroyed, stolen, lost, or modified.

The Hungtingtons, both Professors Emeritus of Art History at Ohio State University, selected, digitized and cataloged the collection for inclusion in Artstor.
