Artstor has collaborated with Julia Jacquette to share images of her work in the Digital Library. Julia Jacquette (b. 1964) is a visual artist based in New York City who works primarily as a painter. Jacquette completed her M.F.A. at Hunter College in 1992 and received a Pollock-Krasner Grant in 1998. Her artwork often quotes media imagery as a way of discussing the artists' own fraught relationship with consumer culture. In 2004, a retrospective of Jacquette's work took place at The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Jacquette has exhibited extensively throughout the United States and her work is included in the permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, among other institutions.
