Sites and Photos has contributed approximately 90,000 images of archaeological and architectural sites throughout Europe and the Middle East to the Artstor Digital Library.

The material provides extensive documentation of the ancient world, including, Megalithic, Classical, Islamic, Crusader, and Gothic archaeology and architecture, as well as Greek and Roman painting, sculpture, mosaics, and decorative arts. The collection is especially strong in its coverage of religious and Biblical sites in Israel, Jordan, Tunisia, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, Malta, and Cyprus. The contributor has provided inclusive documentation, recording extant monuments and structures, such as amphitheaters, gymnasiums, stadiums, temples, synagogues, basilicas and churches, monasteries and convents, mosques, treasuries, bathhouses, libraries, agoras and forums, fortifications, aqueducts, dams, houses, villas, palaces, gardens, and more.

Based in Israel, Sites and Photos (The Magal Collection) specializes in the digital documentation of ancient archaeology, architecture, and art. Photographer Samuel Magal, studied classical and marine archaeology, and since 1999 he has photographed sites and museums throughout the Mediterranean, building a comprehensive archive of hundreds of thousands of photographs and videos.
