More than 1,200 images of Tibetan and Buddhist art from Rob Linrothe are now available in the Digital Library. The collection consists of Linrothe's field photography of art, architecture, and monuments in Tibet, China, India, and Indonesia. There is strong coverage of Tibetan sites, particularly petroglyphs, stupas, and monasteries in the Ladakh and Zangskar regions. Linrothe has also photographed the architecture and sculpture of monuments such as Borobudur in Indonesia and Sanchi in India. For this release, ARTstor collaborated with the Visual Resources Collections at Skidmore College, where Linrothe previously served as Associate Professor of Art History. In his current position as Associate Professor in the Department of Art History at Northwestern University, Linrothe will work with the Digital Collections department at Northwestern University Library to share additional content in the Digital Library.
