Melissa Blumer is a production associate for ARTstor. Her duties include accessioning and inventorying prints in the Gernsheim Photographic Corpus of Drawings.
Prior to joining ARTstor, Melissa was a metadata assistant for the New York Public Library's Digital Gallery, where she was involved in the cataloging of a variety of printed ephemera, from cigarette cards to Argentinean Yiddish theater placards. She also interned in the Photoarchive department of the Frick Library.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Art History from Michigan State University. She is currently completing her thesis in Design History at the Bard Graduate Center. Melissa and her husband Stephen live in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens, New York.
