Carole Ann Fabian

Director Strategic Outreach and User Services

Ms. Fabian is our Director of Strategic Outreach and User Services. Ms. Fabian joins ARTstor from the University at Buffalo Educational Technology Center where she served as center Director and as Project Director for UBdigit: digital collections at the University at Buffalo. A member of the University Libraries faculty, she previously served as subject specialist librarian for Art History, Architecture and Theatre & Dance. Recent research, presentations and publications have focused on the development of digital media libraries, faculty partnerships, innovations in scholarly communications, and technology-enhanced teaching methodologies.

Prior to appointment at UB, Ms. Fabian was Project Archivist at the Rochester Institute of Technology Archives & Special Collections, and Associate Provenance Archivist at the J. Paul Getty Museum & Research Center, where she was responsible for establishing provenance records for old master paintings, including research, data indexing, creation and maintenance of the artist authority database.
