Quaid came to Artstor with a background in both commercial and fine art photography. He spent three years working as a photographer for Burlington Coat Factory, where he photographed a wide range of products and conducted live model shoots, as well as organizing and archiving the company's large image archive. During his time at Fuller's Fine Art, an art auction and appraisal business, he conducted research, photography, cataloging, and handling aspects of important and valuable artworks. Quaid studied at Temple University, Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, where he majored in Photography and Glass with a minor in Art History. He maintains a personal collection of contemporary works on paper.
