Ian McDermott
Collection Development Associate
Ian McDermott is the Collection Development Associate at ARTstor. He is responsible for working with educational institutions, museums, photo archives, and individual scholars in the United States and abroad in the process of acquiring, developing, and announcing collections.
Prior to joining ARTstor, Ian McDermott was Assistant Librarian at the Yale Center for British Art Reference Library and Archives, where he provided research assistance for students, faculty, visiting scholars, and the general public. Additionally, he served as the 2007 Kress Fellow in Art Librarianship at the Yale Arts Library and as the Visual Literacy Instruction Fellow at the Yale University Library. Before working at Yale, Ian served as Research Coordinator for the Education Department at The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, PA.
Ian received his MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh and a BFA in photography from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is currently pursuing an MA in Art History from Purchase College, SUNY.
