Néstor Pérez-Molière

Director of Production

Néstor Pérez-Molièreis in charge of the administration of ARTstor's Production Department. He oversees the imaging and building of collections from various museums, photo archives, photographers, artists, artists' estates, and scholars. Working closely with the various departments, he coordinates, tracks, creates budgets for the collections building workflow, and communicates our imaging standards and policies with the community. Pérez-Molière supervises production staff, processing associates, and imaging associates responsible for the image quality in the ARTstor Digital Library.

Before joining ARTstor, Pérez-Molièreis managed a large team responsible for digitizing and cataloging images of plant specimens at the New York Botanical Garden as part of the Virtual Herbarium project, and worked closely with JSTOR/Ithaka on the JSTOR Plant Science project.

Néstor graduated with a BA in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, with minors in Botany and German. He also studied photography at the Liga de Estudiantes de Arte de San Juan, Puerto Rico.
