Kristine Heid-Santiago

Metadata Associate

Kristine Heid-Santiago is the Metadata Associate for ARTstor. She works in all areas associated with the metadata team's activities, including editing, enhancing, and augmenting artwork descriptions for the ARTstor database. One of Kristine's primary responsibilities is to aid with mapping the data of new collections for inclusion in the ARTstor database, as well as, the data of hosted collections.

Kristine worked for six years as a Keyword Editor in the stock photography industry. She began her career with ARTstor as a Metadata Consultant before leaving for a conservation internship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She then became a Research Assistant in the Drawings and Prints Department there, before returning to ARTstor.

Kristine has an M.A. in Museum Studies from the Fashion Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute, and a B.A. in Anthropology and Art History from SUNY Geneseo. She is interested in ethnographic arts and onomastics.
