Implementation Manager for Sponsored Projects
Evan Towle is the Implementation Manager for Sponsored Projects. He manages relationships with Shared Shelf subscribers and oversees multi-year grant-funded projects to ensure that funding requirements are fulfilled and that the goals of all participants are satisfied in the project outcomes.
Prior to joining Artstor, Evan worked for the Philadelphia Museum of Art as the Librarian for Digital Collections and Services. There he oversaw the institution’s transition from analog to digital photography for study and teaching as well as the incorporation of Rights and Reproductions functions into the Library. The Philadelphia Museum of Art was the first large museum to implement Shared Shelf.
He began his professional career in 2001 as Assistant Archivist and Photograph Curator for the Urban Archives at Temple University. He remains an occasional Reference Librarian for Temple.
Evan holds an MLIS with concentration in Archives Management from the Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science and a BA from Mount Holyoke College with a major in Anthropology.
