Egyptian and other Ancient Art
(Arielle Kozloff Brodkey)
Overview
ARTstor has digitized more than 2,000 images from the personal archive of Arielle Kozloff Brodkey, former curator of ancient art at the Cleveland Museum of Art. The archive is focused on the art, architecture and archaeology of ancient Egypt, with special strengths in Theban tombs. The archive is especially noteworthy because it visually documents many monuments described (but not illustrated) in Porter and Moss's standard Topographical Bibliography of Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphic Texts, Reliefs and Paintings. ARTstor's version of this archive will thus become an invaluable adjunct to the use of this standard reference work.
