Minneapolis College of Art and Design Collection
Overview
The Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) is contributing approximately 1,100 digital images depicting works of art and architecture to the ARTstor Digital Library. These images have been selected from the MCAD Visual Resources Collection's Slide Library with the assistance of Allan Kohl, Visual Resources Librarian. The Slide Library contains over 140,000 35 mm slides documenting art from a variety of world cultures, styles, and periods, with particular strengths in 20th century art, applied design, and American popular culture. It serves as the primary lecture and presentation resource for MCAD faculty, which is comprised largely of working artists and designers. A collection of works by MCAD faculty is already available in ARTstor.
