Cornell Fine Arts Museum Collection (Rollins College)
Overview
The Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida is one of America's finest college art museums and is accredited by the American Association of Museums. For ARTstor, the museum has contributed approximately 60 images of American and European prints and paintings that highlight the diverse nature of the museum's permanent collection.
The permanent collection is comprised of more than 6,000 works of art and objects from Antiquity to the 21st century. Of note are several Italian Renaissance paintings that were donated to the museum in 1937 by the Samuel H. Kress Foundation. Through a partnership with the foundation, ARTstor is attempting to reassemble a substantial portion of the original Kress Collection before its dispersal to museums like the Cornell Fine Arts Museum. Approximately 600 works formerly in the Samuel H. Kress Collection are already available in ARTstor
