Community
The ARTstor Digital Library is an online environment created to support the interests and needs of image content owners and image content users. ARTstor works with a wide range of content owners (museums, artists, photographers, publishers, research collections, slide collections, and others) who contribute collections and allow ARTstor to offer an aggregated library of diverse content.
Educational, cultural, and other non-profit institutions participate in supporting the growth and maintenance of the Library by license agreements that give them access to the collections. ARTstor is committed to providing a stable, persistent online environment for the Library — together with features and tools for active use of the collections — in response to community needs for accessing and using digital images for noncommercial, educational, and scholarly purposes.
