ARTstor is committed to providing support services to all members of our participating community. We currently offer a range of instructional support services such as online and on-site training, email and phone support, and in-print and online help documentation. In addition, hosting and contributing partners receive customized support for metadata, image, and infrastructure development as needed on a project-by-project basis. This support includes assistance with metadata mapping, image optimization, and image and data transfer protocols.
ARTstor also maintains a number of communication services to keep you informed of the latest enhancements and additions to the ARTstor Digital Library. These include: the ARTstor Newsletter — issued semi-annually and available in print and online; ARTstor Announcement list; RSS feeds; and the www.artstor.org/blog. We encourage all individuals at participating institutions to subscribe to the ARTstor communication vehicle of their choice.
ARTstor also provides services to members of the broader non-profit educational community through its participation in scholarly societies, conferences, and publications; outreach programs; development of technical protocols; working with standards organizations; advocacy for fair use of digital images for scholarly purposes; and collaborations with other educational, cultural, and research institutions to make available public utilities in support of the use of digital images for educational and scholarly purposes — for example, the Images for Academic Publishing (IAP) initiative and the Public OIV.
