ARTstor Digital Library has collaborated with Ohio University to share an additional 650 additional images of Yao artworks and objects in the Digital Library. They will join the current collection of approximately 2,900 images of works created by the Yao people, an ethnic minority from northern Vietnam. The collection includes ceremonial and temple art dating from the 19th and 20th centuries, with examples of hand scrolls, hanging scrolls, masks, head dress-type objects, manuscripts, and textiles. These images have been selected from Ohio University’s North Ethnic Minorities Collection – Vietnam, which is housed in the Frederick and Kazuko Harris Fine Arts Library.
