ARTstor Chief Curatorial Officer and Vice President for External Affairs Christine Kuan will be a presenter in the workshop “Budgets Schmudgets – Writing Grants to Support Special Projects,” April 18, 2012 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the University of New Mexico’s Zimmerman Library.  Senior Implementation Manager Elizabeth Darocha Berenz and Collection Development Associate  Ian McDermott will present in “Cataloging Case Studies,” April 21, 10:00 – 11:30 AM, at the Hotel Albuquerque, Alvarado Salon E, East Atrium. Elizabeth will look at the advantages of cloud-based software for image management using Shared Shelf as a working example, and Ian will demonstrate the advantages of expert tagging and annotation in improving metadata.

ARTstor President James Shulman, Library Relations Associate Siân Evans, and other ARTstor staff will attend the 40th annual Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) Conference in Toronto.

ARTstor Senior Implementation Manager Elizabeth Darocha Berenz will be moderating “Metadata: the changing information landscape,” Saturday March 31, 2012 4:15—5:15 PM at the Sheraton Centre. Elizabeth, along with ARTstor Implementation Manager Rebecca Shows, will also be holding a Shared Shelf User Group on Friday March 30, 2012 6:157:15 PM at 60 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 112, and Ian McDermott, Collection Development Associate, will hold an ARTstor Digital Library User Group on Saturday March 31, 2012 12:301:30 PM at the Sheraton Centre.

Also, Nicole Finzer of Northwestern University Library and Lindsay King of Yale University Library will present a poster session, “Collaborating on Casas,” about the digitization of the Ramón Casas drawings collection soon to be available in the Digital Library.
