Freedman Gallery (Albright College)
The Freedman Gallery (Albright College) has contributed approximately 1,000 images to the Artstor Digital Library. The selection features paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints and other works on paper, by modern and contemporary artists including Romare Bearden, Salvador Dali, Leonid Sokov, Brett Weston, and Mark Klett.
Established in 1976, and named after founding Albright alumna Doris Chanin Freedman (1928–1981), the Gallery adheres to its original mission to support living American artists. Housed in the College’s Center for the Arts, the Gallery hosts multiple exhibitions each year centered on contemporary U.S. art.
